There are four types of Toyota Safety Sense systems: TSS-P, TSS 2.0, TSS 2.5 & 2.5+, and TSS 3.0. Here’s a basic overview of what each system offers:

TSS-P

TSS 2.0

TSS 3.0

TSS 3.0 comes with the following features:

With the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, your vehicle will set off a visual and audio alert when the potential of a frontal collision is detected. If you do not react in time, this system will automatically engage the brakes. With the Road Sign Assist feature, your vehicle will use its intelligent camera to detect yield signs, Do Not Enter signs, stop signs, and more.
Though each TSS system is similar, they contain more features with each iteration. There are some additional features available as well, such as a Panoramic View Monitor.

Safety Connect

The Toyota Safety Sense system also comes with Safety Connect, which includes three years of 24/7 Roadside Support and Enhanced Roadside Assistance. This feature will send your current GPS coordinates to a Safety Connect agent who can get you help in the event of an emergency.
